What is CalmIQ Pro?

CalmIQ Pro is an app that keeps you connected to your child's school day. Their teacher logs how they're doing throughout the day, and every afternoon you receive a personal summary — written in plain English, not clinical jargon.

What you can do
  • Receive a daily report every afternoon
  • Send a morning update to your child's teacher
  • View your child's emotional check-in history
  • Read past daily reports (last 7 days)
What your child's teacher can do
  • Log emotional check-ins throughout the day
  • Record meals, bathroom visits, and ABC data
  • Generate and send the daily report
  • See the morning update you sent
Your privacy You can only see your own child's information. Teachers cannot see data from other families. Your login credentials are separate from the school's system.
Section 2

Getting the App & Creating Your Account

Before you can create an account, you'll need a link code from your child's teacher. This is a 6-character code that securely connects your account to your child.

1

Download CalmIQ Pro from the App Store

Search for CalmIQ Pro or ask your child's teacher for a direct link. The app is free to download.

2

Open the app and tap "Parent / Guardian"

On the welcome screen, choose the Parent/Guardian option. Do not use the Teacher/Staff login.

3

Tap "Sign Up" and enter your email

Use an email address you check regularly — this is where daily reports will be sent. Choose a secure password.

💡 You can also sign in at calmiqpro.com → Parent Portal from any web browser.
4

Enter your link code

When signing up, you'll be asked for a Teacher Link Code. Enter the 6-character code your child's teacher provided. This connects your account to your child's profile.

⚠️ Link codes expire after 7 days. If yours has expired, ask the teacher to generate a new one.
Section 3

Connecting to Your Child's Classroom

If you already have an account but need to connect to a child (or a second child), you can enter a link code from your dashboard.

1

Sign in to your account

Open the app and sign in with your email and password, or go to calmiqpro.com → Parent Portal.

2

Tap "Connect to a Classroom"

If no child is linked yet, you'll see this option on your home screen. Enter the link code from your child's teacher.

3

You're connected

Your child's name will appear on your home screen. If you have multiple children at the same school, each child needs their own link code.

Multiple children? You can link more than one child to the same parent account. Ask each child's teacher for a separate link code and enter each one. All linked children will appear on your home screen.
Section 4

Sending a Morning Update

Each morning, you can send your child's teacher a quick update about how the night went. This takes about 30 seconds and helps the teacher give your child the right support from the moment they arrive.

Send Morning Update
Morning Update Screen

Open the app → tap your child's name → tap the ☀️ Morning Update button. Fill in three quick questions and add an optional note.

FieldWhy it matters
Sleep qualityPoor sleep often affects focus and behavior all day
BreakfastLow blood sugar can look like behavioral issues by mid-morning
Morning moodGives the teacher a heads-up to offer extra support at arrival
Optional noteAnything unusual — medication change, family event, new routine
When should I send it? Anytime before school starts — ideally between 7 and 8 AM. The teacher sees it when they open the app. Even a quick update with no note is helpful.
Section 5

Reading the Daily Report

Every school day at 3 PM, you'll receive a push notification and an email with your child's daily report. The report is written in warm, plain English — not clinical language.

📋 Daily Report
Thursday, June 9
🌅 Morning Update
Slept well · Ate breakfast · Slow start
📋 Today's Summary
Alex had a steady and mostly positive day. Despite a slow morning, they settled into the classroom routine well and showed strong engagement during structured activities.
🔍 Key Observations
• Initiated peer interaction during group work
• Needed one short sensory break after lunch — returned calm
💡 Suggestions for Tomorrow
• A visual schedule at morning arrival may help ease transitions
Daily Report View

The report has four color-coded sections:

SectionWhat it contains
🌅 Morning UpdateThe update you sent in the morning (sleep, breakfast, mood)
📋 Today's SummaryA 1–2 sentence overview of how the day went overall
🔍 Key ObservationsThe most notable moments or patterns from the day
💡 Suggestions for TomorrowOne concrete way to support your child the next day
The report is written by AI, reviewed by the teacher. The AI drafts the report based on the teacher's observations throughout the day. The teacher can edit it before it's sent. It will never include alarming language — only warm, constructive observations.
Didn't receive a report? Check your spam folder for the email. For push notifications, make sure you've allowed CalmIQ Pro to send notifications in your phone's Settings. If you still don't see it, contact your child's teacher — they can generate and send it manually.
Section 6

Viewing Your Child's History

The app keeps the last 7 daily reports and a 30-day emotional check-in history, so you can see patterns over time.

📋 Past Daily Reports Tap the Reports tab on your child's home screen to see reports from the past week. Tap any report to expand it and read the full summary.
🔍 Check-In History The teacher logs your child's emotional state throughout the day. Over time, patterns become visible — which days are harder, what times of day are better, which triggers come up repeatedly.
You have read-only access. You cannot edit observations or reports. If you believe a report contains an error, contact your child's teacher directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

I never received a link code. What do I do?
Ask your child's teacher or the school office. Only the teacher can generate a link code for your child. Each code is unique, expires after 7 days, and can only be used once per parent account.
My link code says it's invalid or expired. Now what?
Contact the teacher and ask them to generate a new code. They can do this from inside the app — it only takes a few seconds. New codes are valid for 7 days.
I didn't receive today's daily report. What happened?
Check your email spam folder first. For push notifications, open your phone's Settings → CalmIQ Pro → Notifications and make sure they're enabled. Reports only send on weekdays. If there were no observations logged that day, no report is generated. Contact your child's teacher if you're still not receiving them.
Can I see real-time updates during the day?
You receive a push notification each time the teacher logs an emotional check-in for your child. You'll see the emotion and a brief note instantly in the app. The full daily summary is sent at 3 PM.
My child has two parents/guardians — can we both be linked?
Yes. Ask the teacher to generate a separate link code for each parent. Each parent creates their own account and enters their own code. All linked parents receive the daily report.
Is my child's information private and secure?
Yes. You can only see your own child's data. No other parent can see your child's information. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your login is separate from the school's system. See the full Privacy Policy at calmiqpro.com/privacy.
I need help or something isn't working. Who do I contact?
First try your child's teacher — they can often resolve account and connection issues quickly. For technical problems, email support@calmiqpro.com with your name, your child's first name/initial, and a description of the issue.
